What is Twisted Gorilla?
Tees that are cooler than the other side of the pillow. We create hilarious, pop culture inspired t-shirts and apparel that lets people express their personality through what they wear. Our mission is to connect people through laughter, a touch of sarcasm, and a desire to help save gorillas one buttery soft thread at a time. 😁
How We Got Started:
We, Gabe and Julia (hi!), are fun-loving parents with a quirky sense of humor and a passion for memes, pop culture, tacos, goofy humor, and on and on. 🤪
Gabe has spent the majority of his adult life working in the tech world. And, Julia, a grade school teacher by trade, traded in the traditional classroom to become a homeschool teacher and stay-at-home mom. Since we're both entrepreneurs at heart, we started brainstorming business ideas that would give us the freedom to spend more time with our family. 🏡
Our friends and extended family know and love Gabe for his mastery of memes and gross food combinations so on a weekend road trip home from visiting family, we were thinking of funny one-liners and movie quotes we thought needed to be on clothing. We decided to take our shared wit, combine it with our love of comfy t-shirts, and Twisted Gorilla was born! 🍌
The Story Behind the Name:
Twisted Gorilla got its name from Gabe's snarky sense of humor and love for gorillas, who have been his favorite animal since he was a young warthog. (Yes, we sang that out loud in Puumba's voice)
When it came time to name our store, we wanted it to be something memorable, fun, and meaningful. We came to find out that all gorillas are now considered endangered and we wanted to do our part to help save them. And, just like that -- we found the perfect name.
Who We Serve:
We serve people who share the mindset that life is too short to wear something boring and want to spark a conversation with their clothes. To the men and women out there that don't take themselves too seriously and live to make the world a more fun, humor-filled place again -- this ape is for you! 🦍

The fun designs speak for themselves, but you have to put these insanely soft threads on your body to appreciate them. We only source the highest-quality fabrics and don't believe anyone should ever have to settle for boxy, scratchy, tube-looking tees ever again! We use combed and ring-spun cotton and tri-blend fabrics for our clothes, giving you the perfect blend of comfort and breathability.
